As one who is fully aware of the importance
of church leaders understanding emotional process dynamics, we thought you may want to be aware of Lombard Mennonite Peace
Center’s 2009-2010 programs that are designed to deepen one’s grounding in family systems thinking. Thus,
you’ll find attached information that describes our 2009-2010 Clergy Clinic in Family Emotional Process, and, for those
who already have a solid family systems background, our 2009-2010 Advanced Clergy Clinic in Family Emotional Process.
Although the title indicates that the program is primarily designed for clergy,
the program is also attended by a number of non-clergy people who function in various leadership capacities in church systems.
Some of the people are consultants who work with conflicted churches. Whether one is a pastor, judicatory leader, or
consultant, you may also be interested in knowing about our Mediation Skills Training Institute for Church Leaders offerings
for 2009. Thus, we’ve attached that brochure as well.
If finances are tight, it is possible to spread the cost for Clergy Clinic or Advanced Clergy Clinic over two budget
years: paying $500 upon registering and $400 after January 1, 2010.
Even if you’re not able to participate in either of these programs yourself, we hope that you’ll forward
the attachments to clergy colleagues or even lay leaders who you think may be interested in deepening their understandings
in conflict transformation
Blessings,
Ginny
